zarraspook Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 If your thinking about going to Stockton check these pictures... I guess I won't be taking the boat to Stockton on Monday, after only 3 days of above freezing temps !?!?!?!?!?!? "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"
Members CrappieNinja Posted February 13, 2014 Members Posted February 13, 2014 Is pomme pretty much like this too? ---------
ten_scoach Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Thanks mo I am curious what the thaw rAte will be this week. Please keep is posted when it's fishable again. Thank you!!
MOPanfisher Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I will keep checking but if it gets warm and windy it can change quickly, I suspect that while some of the main lake will thaw, the coves where most of the ramps are will take a while. But heck it is Missouri, might be 80 next week.
shockley32 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 80 degrees!!! Bring it on!!! Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
MOPanfisher Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 I went to Nemo and checked by the dock, its gonna be a while fellers. Hopefully when it thaws loose around the edges and the big chunks of ice start to move we don't have too many docks damaged, however there will be some for sure.
Members gatorbitu Posted February 19, 2014 Members Posted February 19, 2014 Thanks for the info on ice MOPanfisher....was wanting to go to pomme and fish around dam Friday...Guess that is not to be.
MOPanfisher Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 The strong south wind and warm temps is working on the ice. Main lake from dam back to the mouth of lindley and pomme is open, south facing coves like the one with the two fishing docks in it is taking a beating, at least 50 yards of curshed iced and the waves are going all the way through to the back of the cove, up close it is very noisy and the wind coming off the ice is several degrees cooler. Still no ramps open that I am aware of.
shockley32 Posted February 20, 2014 Posted February 20, 2014 Hope the wind keeps working the magic! Not a fan of strong winds, however I'm now wishing I would have put in a home windmill for electricity. Here's to catching a limit of specks next week Brad Have your visited Limitville lately?
