Kee sims Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Thinking about floating this stretch Tommoro anybody have a general idea of time and length on this stretch?
Lancer09 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 It is six or six and a half miles. An hour a mile or so depending on How hard your fishing.
RSBreth Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Please post up if you went - I'm curious because I never do very well in that stretch in winter.
Kee sims Posted February 17, 2014 Author Posted February 17, 2014 We fished from misty river bridge to Delaware town today very slow going. 7fish, I had 3 a buddy had 4. All but one on jigs the other on jerk bait. Still fun day
RSBreth Posted February 18, 2014 Posted February 18, 2014 Better than I thought - like I said I've never caught very many good ones in that stretch in Winter.
Members cReekFishin Posted February 22, 2014 Members Posted February 22, 2014 I fished Delaware to shelvin several times last summer. If you spend a lot of time at every hole, expect it to take about 8 hours. Ive never done it in the winter but I bet it'd be worth it. Lots of deep holes through there.
ScottK Posted February 22, 2014 Posted February 22, 2014 I went last year with a couple friends from work, took 2 hours from Delaware to Shelvin (we went on down to Hootentown, total of 4 hrs). I didn't fish so much as take a couple of lures waterskiing. Will not be doing that again
