Members Scott Keling Posted March 9, 2014 Members Posted March 9, 2014 Has anyone heard any white bass stories on upper B.S. lately? I read a few on the T.R. Site.
Moswimb8slinger Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Read the latest post on the Powersite Tailwater thread, they caught a bunch on the river run side Thursday evening and friday morning while they were generating.
Flatbottom Boy Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Yeah that post was from 2009, someone just fired it back up by asking a question.
Members Scott Keling Posted March 9, 2014 Author Members Posted March 9, 2014 Thanks Flatbottom. I dove right into reading that article & didn't realize the date the thread got started. My dad is headed to upper B.S. Tuesday & will be fishing for whites for about a week. Hope he can get into some.
Flatbottom Boy Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 No problem Scott, I know a lot of people base their plans on some of these posts and reports. Hope your Dad finds them!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted March 9, 2014 Root Admin Posted March 9, 2014 I don't think they're up there yet but they could be at any time. I'd look further down lake- Barker down to Johnson, then Beaver down to K Dock. They're going to be hard to find. Bet they'll be on the bottom in the channel unless it gets windy, warming the water on the surface. Then I'd look on wind blown banks/flats.
Members Scott Keling Posted March 9, 2014 Author Members Posted March 9, 2014 Barker down to the Johnson area is where we have our best luck & it's where I usually start. I'll be headed down there myself on the 22nd for about a week. I've got white bass fever & the water is still hard here in northern Mo.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
Moswimb8slinger Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 Oops, i missed that little detail, the description of the lake level was similar to what it is now
RSBreth Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 With the warming trend this week it'll get fired up - I'm going down there in a minute and will check back during the week at night at least a few times. It's time.
