Mike jones Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Anybody been or know if they are catching any at twin bridges? Would love to run down and let my 8 year old daughter catch a few!! Thanks!
Members Middleton369 Posted March 12, 2014 Members Posted March 12, 2014 Went to the bridges day before yesterday and there were no cars in the parking lot. Fished down river from there yesterday with no luck and was about the only boat that was fishing in that area. Id say that it's still too early, there might be a few fish there but they are few and far between. A few more 60-70 degree days and it will be on though.
Sore Thumbs Posted March 12, 2014 Posted March 12, 2014 Yeah. I agree. Another week or 2 and you should start seeing walleye. Those whites won't be far behind.
Mike jones Posted March 12, 2014 Author Posted March 12, 2014 Thanks guys...I was bass fishing around prairie creek yesterday and caught a 17" walleye on a clown megabass. A few largemouth but the bite wasnt as good as I expected.
kjackson Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 But the AGFC weekly report says that the walleyes and white bass are all in the river. Of course, "they" are still catching walleyes on main lake points 25-30 feet down...
Members RiverFisher1 Posted March 14, 2014 Members Posted March 14, 2014 I use the AGFC report to mainly see another angle of where the stripers/white bass are heading. The basic rule of thumb: if there are open parking spots at the boat ramp under twin bridges, the white bass haven't swarmed yet.
