Guest Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 Im looking for a Lowrance unit with color sonar/gps mapping that has the hockey puck style transducer for trolling motors. Down/side imaging isnt necessary. Budget is $500-$750 Which model should I choose? We've had so many problems with our hummingbird 597. The unit keeps disconnecting from the base causing it to go blank. Its got serious interference problems with the Minn Kota trolling motor too. So, Im done with them.
Dutch Posted April 2, 2014 Posted April 2, 2014 You will probably have the same problems with interference and a low unit as they run on the same frequency as the birds do. The Elite series might work for your budget.
