Lifes2Short Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Out of Mutton Creek at 6:30, caught 34 with 9 of those under 15". Biggest was about 3lbs. The last 3 times up the bite has shut off about noon and then picked up after 5. Most caught on jigs and crankbaits. No particular pattern on the type of bank. Blue skies, 20+ mph winds out of the south, 48 to 53 water temps. Tight Lines!
Members whiteley.matt Posted April 11, 2014 Members Posted April 11, 2014 I am headed up there tomorrow and putting in at Mutton. Did you head north or south?
Lifes2Short Posted April 11, 2014 Author Posted April 11, 2014 Also will be headed out of Mutton tomorrow. I pretty much played from the bridge back north to Hawker. With the south wind it was hard to find a bank to fish on the east side of the lake, but when you did it usually had fish. Good luck tomorrow, I will be in a black Champion with a straw hat on. Come by and say hi if you see us. I also forgot to mention that I stopped by a brush pile in 25' of water, dropped a jig down to the bottom and instantly hooked a nice 13" slab. I thought, "Here we go!", spent the next 30 min without a bite. darn fickle things, they have to get hungry soon.....don't they?? Stockton is fishing as good as I can ever remember, get up there and find some tight lines!! ;-)
