straw hat Posted April 23, 2014 Posted April 23, 2014 Well the wife and I drove in to one of our favorite coves for spawning crappie. Caught a total of 22 from the bank. Boats, boats and more boats and some bank fisherman as well. We didn't want to risk changing places as we were afraid we be tough out of luck. So we hung in on the same place all day. It must have been a good place. I also caught 4 keeper largemouth from 16 1/2' to 18". All caught in an area the size of my livingroom (which isn't very big). lol All females with eggs. All caught on shiners in 6' of water and most of them in the middle of the day with bluebird skies. Go figure. Wishing all the best on your next trip.

Besides, If I know you well enough from this forum you probably had a very good idea the spot you were fishing was pretty O.K.!!!! Nice to see the fish are in close huh ??? Have you ever tried night fishing for Crappie this time of year ???? I am talking without lights other than Black lights. Walcrabass

Those fish are still in the lake during daylight hours. In addition, if God turns out the lights it must be bed time. lol
