darbwa Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 Hoping to get into the crappie this weekend but it has been slow going. I do not remember ever seeing the water this clear. I guess they need a couple more degrees of warmth before they move in.
Bird Watcher Posted April 27, 2014 Posted April 27, 2014 I haven't been down there in weeks. Not because I don't want to, just been busy fishing other places. I can guarantee you there are crappie to be caught. If it was me, I'd try somwhere around the mouth of Honey Creek. It should be about time for the lower half of the lake to take off.
darbwa Posted April 28, 2014 Author Posted April 28, 2014 I am way south. Honey Creek is way north for me. However, they should be hitting the banks with water temps approaching 62 but they aren't there yet. We caught some for sure, it just wasn't easy.
