Members skeew1586 Posted May 5, 2014 Members Posted May 5, 2014 My comrades and I had a trip planned for kayaking and trout fishing current river mid next week (May 14- 16). Unexpectedly, 2 had to cancel this morning due to some personal issues. Those two were going to ferry three others from our campsite to our drop-in points each day, as well as pick us up, to head back to camp. At the last minute, the three of us left, need to make a few changes. CAN ANYONE ADVISE ON WHAT OUR BEST COURSE OF ACTION WOULD BE. PERHAPS CAMPSITES THAT WILL FERRY OUR BOATS INSTEAD OF RENTING, SHOULD WE JUST SPEND 3 DAYS ON THE BANK OF THE RIVER? We were going to spend 3 days between Baptist to Pulltite. This would be my first time that far up river, and am looking forward to it. Any other advice on presentations, are always appreciated.
Gavin Posted May 5, 2014 Posted May 5, 2014 Jadwin or Current River Canoe @ Pulltite...Jadwin would be my choice though. Have fun hauling your load over Cedargrove low water bridge.
Gene K Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Yea, what dude's said for transport. Geez, Gavin - I'd bet anything you have humped more than 3 days supplies portaging the boundary waters?!
Members skeew1586 Posted May 6, 2014 Author Members Posted May 6, 2014 Thank you gentlemen. It looks like we are going to have Jason's put us in at Baptist and end at Akers for 2 days, then head further down South on Friday to roll with the smallies. Hopefully we see you on the river.
