dprice Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Hey Jim How big do they get in the Stockton? I caught 1 once didn't weigh or measure but it had to be 12 inches long and 1 1/2 thick ? DPrice Dprice priceheatingair.comĀ
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 , You do understand that keeping a limit of 15inch bass will also keep them from getting to 8lbs don't you? game fish noun an edible fish capable of affording sport to the angler in its capture. sport fish Definition of SPORT FISH : a fish important for the sport it affords anglers I don't keep any bass, and there are alot more 15in bass than there are 8lb bass
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 Oh Good Lord Redsox I hope the old farts in my crappie club don't see your post on crappie not being a sport fish you might give one them a stroke lmbo!!!!!! They eat and breathe crappie fishing. All we fish for is a trophy at the end of the year but you would think they were fishing in the bassmaster classic!!!!!! Seriously tho i joined the club last year and i thought i'd probly hold my own against them but NOT!!!!!! I never really chased crappie around the lake till about 4 years ago and it has been a hard transition for me from tournament bass fishing to tournament crappie fishing. i can see where going from tournament bass fishing to crappie tournament fishing would be a challenge
WHARFRAT Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 What's the life expectancy of a 6/7/8 lb bass? @lozcrappie Ā
Dirtracer35 Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 How do you know how many 8lbers are in the lake??? I'd love to see your data.
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 What's the life expectancy of a 6/7/8 lb bass? I think it depends on body of water, forage, genetics..etc
REDSOXWSCHAMP Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 How do you know how many 8lbers are in the lake??? I'd love to see your data. you don't know! thats why when you catch one, you take a picture and watch it swim away
Dirtracer35 Posted May 15, 2014 Author Posted May 15, 2014 I just asked you. You said there were more 15" bass than 8lb bass... Nobody knows how many of what size bass are in any lake. Nobody. Electro shocking only covers the first 5-10' of the water column. What about the other 60-80'? Stockton is full bass regardless. Big and small. And of all 3 species. There should be ZERO complaining about me or anybody else keeping a fish. Of any species. I don't go fishing and wonder. What will you say about me keeping this. I honestly don't care. But for you to sit here and act like a saint, know-it-all, and a biologist is ridiculous.
