Members CaptainNemo68 Posted May 12, 2014 Members Posted May 12, 2014 Hello, caught this fish over the weekend but unsure as to why it lacks the normal Bluegill ear flap.

drew03cmc Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Yes it's a sunfish, same as a largemouth, crappie, longear or bluegill. He is asking why it doesn't have the elongated ear flap. There could be any number of reasons from predation to a birth defect. Andy
