I've been away from fishing for some time now but with the interest of my kids I'm slowly getting back on board. Anyway, I was going through some older equipment the other day and came across a Shimano Calcutta with a 2.51 marking on the side. I can't find anything on the net about it which seems strange. I am planning on selling it or trading it in at the Outdoor Experience store in Springfield but I can't figure the value of it. Any ideas ? I'll apologize in advance if I'm in the wrong forum section.. just figured you Tablerock guys would know.

Oh, It's a left handed reel that was used for flippin/ pitching.

Think that is a 251 with part of the "2" scratched off. Shimano uses the "1" at the end to designate a left hand reel.

Might look at ebay for an idea on price, and to sell it without the middle man. Still a well thought of reel.

Yep, that did it. I should have been able to figure that out ! Looks like they go for 90-100.00 on ebay. I knew someone on this site would know !!

Thanks again.
