Black River Info Needed

Any one have any info on transporttation on the black below hwy k Also if I decided to leave the canoe behind is it jet friendly thinking about running up from clearwater

Depends upon water level whether it's jet-friendly or not. I believe there are some wide, shallow riffles right above the lake that can be almost unrunnable unless the river is up a bit. Also difficult to find shuttles. No canoe rentals, as far as I know, below K Hwy. The one at K probably mostly runs trips upstream from there, but I wouldn't know for sure because I've NEVER been able to actually talk to them when I've called seeking a shuttle. I think they are mythical.

Thanks for the info guys I got ahold of jeffs last season but they would not shuttle I love the upper black just always tuff if you dont have someone going with you or cant take two vehicles I prefer the scanoe but was thinking at least the jet I can solo it and not depend on shuttle . Been a few years since I have been below hwy k do remeber some good small mouth even large mouth
