Guest flyfishBDS Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Gday troops, seeking your contacts knowledge on behalf of a couple of very keen and fun customers of mine They want to be married in Beaver Tailwater, in waders etc, and called this morning asking if I new of a fly fishing preacher/celebrant to conduct the ceremony. They are a great couple and very serious about this. The bride told me this morning she wasn't interested in a new wedding dress _ but SHE really wants new waders to be married in!!! Definately our type of people lol So how can we help them out Anyone know of someone to conduct the ceremony, or are qualified etc to do it themselves. Other suggestions to make their day Answer here or call me at the store 479 253 6154 Thanks for all your help.
Terry Beeson Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 Dang... I bet if Harry Boyd were to be in the area, he'd do it. Well, I didn't get married in waders, but I did get married on the beach... in bare feet... John Berry Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 It just so happens that I am attending a fly fishing wedding today at the confluence of the White and Norfork Rivers. Guide John Gulley and former MSFF President Kathy Post are getting hitched. The ceremony is being officiated by Gary Powell an ordained Minister and avid fly fisher. Gary Powell's phone number is 901 201-0297. John Berry OAF CONTRIBUTOR Fly Fishing For Trout (870)435-2169 http://www.berrybrothersguides.com berrybrothers@infodash.com

drew03cmc Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I tried convincing my fiancee to get married in a river, but she wants something small, nothing major...then we might go float/fishing for the honeymoon. I love her! Andy
jdmidwest Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 A man should just not mix pleasure with marriage, it just takes the fun out of it if you have to bring her along. You could end up like the Lost my wife guy........ I went to fish the White River and Bennett Springs on my honeymoon with my first wife, note the part about the first wife!
