Headed down to the Lost Bridge area this weekend. I haven't been on Beaver since late last summer. Have been fishing Table Rock this spring, and it is very good as far as numbers go. this weekend the nieces and nephew will want to fish. On Table Rock the ned rig and just finesse stuff in general have been crazy good. Any chance that any of this is working on Beaver right now?

Or should we try for some whites? Doesn't really matter, would just like to get the kids hooked into some fish.

We generally fish in the Big Clifty and North Clifty areas...

Anything thats working on table rock will catch them on beaver. Good luck!

If your looking to get the kids in fish the best place would be around 12 bridge, lots of whites in that area, some crappie and a few stripers and of course bass. The whites would be the primary rod benders. Second bet would be around the islands and prairie creek. followed by Coose mouth and Ventris.

If your family is not adverse to nocturnal activity... the night bite is starting to take off. Find some submerged timber along a bluff near a channel and drop a light to catch some fish. Just make sure to get enough minnows. We used up 3/4 #'s of minnows by 2 AM last weekend. 52 whites, 38 crappie, 3 keeper stripes, 5 keeper walleye, and 2 keeper LM's. If not, I'll second FnF's suggestion that you hit PC to 12 bridge. The basin flat west of the islands is holding quite a bit of fish, and they are active. You just need to find the baitfish, and/or bottom structure they are relating to, and they'll be there. Was there Thursday evening and trolled up 5 whites, 3 crappie, and 2 walleye in about 2 1/2 hours. Probably could have caught more if we worked the bait balls or structure more thoroughly, but I was messin' with new/different cranks and not really trying to fill the cooler ( More interested in listening to the diamond hogs game ). Is it just me... or do jet skiers actually aim for the back of your boat if you have planar boards out?

Thanks for the info guys. Ended up only going out Sunday morning solo, nobody else wanted to wake up.. lol Found some smallies busting on a point in front of the house. Missed more of those than I caught, then ran up north clifty. Found a nice cove with a lot of laydowns and flipped a watermelon tube. Caught a ton of bass in the 12-16 inch range. Most of which came on the initial fall in 2ft of water or less. Was not expecting them to be up that shallow. It was a good time though. Ended up with close to 30 fish total, with only 3 or 4 that would have been keepers. Will be heading back down in a few weeks. I am going to have to go down to the Prairie Creek area. We have never been down there, but, it sounds like some really good fishing.

On a side note, the info everyone has put on here is great!!! My cousin and her husband just finished a house down on Beaver in Lost Bridge, so, now I am wanting to learn to fish the lake. I generally fish Table Rock, Stockton, and Grand and use this forum quite a bit, so I jumped on the Beaver lake link and the info is excellent!!!

In the future I will try to post a quick report anytime I'm out and about. (Im sure I will have more questions in the future as well) Thanks Again for all the information!!!
