J-doc and I met at the ramp at 6 am this morning and fished until 11:15 for 17 Crappie plus 2 shorts and a couple lost at the boat. 2 keeper Walleye 19’’ and 21’’ along with a handful of small walleye and one small but ambitious white bass.

Rocky Branch area

Water temp was 73.9

Visibility was 4 to 7 ft

Cloudy overcast conditions little wind

Bait’s were Bobby Garland in Pearl white and Flicker shad #6

Crappie wanted varying retrieves from the bottom to just below surface with the Bobby Garlands. Walleye were in 8 to 12ft and hit the flicker shad on Points. A few crappie came off the flickers in 12 fow over flats and Creek Channel ledges.

Looks like a good supper... Thanks for the "where, when, what, and how" report !!

Nice, good report.

I'm envious, especially the "no wind" part. One of these days, a windless day will coincide with a planned fishing trip. All that I'll need then is for the fish to cooperate.

The lack of wind was made up for in the shenanigans that went on. Its real fun fishing when someone tries to hit a bent over person in another boat with a crappie jig, or throws fish at another boater and we will not discuss the Fullmoon today. Suffice to say it was not a pg13 day on the lake.

Sounds like a good time. With the crappie going gangbusters, I may have to see if I can find some my way. I can't help but think of the "thousands" of salt cedars removed from the Devil's Eyebrow area that were reported to be used in Indian Creek piles. With a little work, I might even be able to rig my boat to do a spider-rig variation from the stern.

Partial eclipse. Not enough area to be considered a fulloon ;)

Very true. Just a sneak peak. Lol!!!!
