dprice Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Nothing like trying to launch and someone pulling up on ramp and getting boat ready and pay fee blocking everything while they get there stuff ready .....But then he parks there ! Campers and tax payers maneuvered around this person Dprice Dprice priceheatingair.comĀ
Dutch Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 It happens all of the time. There are a lot of people who don't have a clue about launch courtesy. It should be a mandatory part of every boat delivery speech.
wuteversbitin424 Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 People do that at aldrich all the time. one guy loaded his boat pulled up just out of the water and stopped and spent the next 10min on the ramp strapping up his boat. wich ordinarily not a problem but it was pouring and i was trying to load. i finally spoke up as to how unhappy i was getting so wet. he moved but didn't like it lol. oh well what can you do. kevin
SmallyWally Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Who doesn't love self-absorbed/self-serving people on a boat ramp. I always look forward to seeing them . Kindness is the language the blind can see and the deaf can hear.-- Mark Twain
Unimog Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 Only time I do that stuff is when no one else is around.
Members Nathan Shaw Posted May 27, 2014 Members Posted May 27, 2014 should have let the air out of a tire Really? Of course things like this don't get under my skin. It might be a little inconvenient, but it's not going to be a deciding factor if I had a good/bad trip out. I am sure I have been on the ignorant (not being educated on an issue) end of a situation before. Maybe a little education via a note would be better. That's just how I approach situations I suppose. On a side note, get out there and catch a few fish. Put in over by Cedar Ridge a couple days ago and came home with 2 limits of crappie and a few walleye. There bit'n!

I'm not saying this is something i would do, yes it is aggravating that someone would do that, but I have NEVER let someone else's actions dictate my lake trip. Whoever parked there should have had the common sense to park where everyone else parks. But then again common sense isn't so common anymore
Members crappie jerk Posted May 27, 2014 Members Posted May 27, 2014 launched my boat a week ago at cedar ridge and tried to put my money in the metal box but it was so full that people tried to stuff their envelopes in the slot and their were about 8 to 10 lying on top. who is suppose to m-t those darn things. could have went to vegas if I was a crook. lol
Wayne SW/MO Posted May 27, 2014 Posted May 27, 2014 They probably need some educating on how to launch and trailer. There's no reason for anyone to use ramp space to get a boat ready. If the winch won't hold the boat until you launch or get back to the parking area, they need a new winch. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
