The owner of the campground just returned my call. Both her and her husband work so the campground is on the side, just gettting started. They don't do shuttles yet. I invited her to this website to answer questions.

The river eventually gets low enough to stop most of the jetboats at the mouth of the Big Piney, but as long as it's flowing well they run a lot higher. Mitch, Greasy, and I ran it down from Schlict Springs a few weeks ago and it was barely runnable; Mitch banged a few rocks.

The old highway site at 133 is a pretty decent access with parking for several vehicles. Terrierman and I and the guys from Ohio floated from there to 7 that same week, and although we didn't catch a lot of fish, the habitat was as good as I've seen anywhere on the Gasconade.

Well we're back. Hit the water at Gnade Hills Thursday at 7pm. Great weather through Friday, Saturday got rather hot. We were hammock camping and ended up covering more mileage in search of a good spot Friday evening than we would have liked. Ended up at the Hwy 7 bridge Saturday at 6pm. Fishing was ok but far from the best I have experienced, topwater early and late, finesse jigs and shakey head worms during the day. Nothing bigger than 13" and I'd estimate about 10-15 fish per day for all 3 of us. Very quiet on the river and only saw a handful of people the entire trip.

We put in at Hazelgreen on Friday around 1pm. We wanted to make sure it was good and hot before we started. We didn't catch a big numbers of fish but the quality was decent. Most were in the 13" to 14" range with the biggest being 16". I fished a buzzbait for a while early Sunday morning and had 3 14" inch fish and the 16". But most of the fish came during the day. Plastics didn't seem to work as well for me as spinnerbaits and crankbaits. I was catching fish Saturday afternoon in the heat of the day with a small spinnerbait out in the open. Took out at Hwy 7 Sunday afternoon.
