Terry Beeson Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Mr Ducky wants to drive down to Taney and fish tonight. Mrs Ducky would drive down to Taney in the morning. Do you think he should go fishing tonight or spend NYE with his family? His "choice" depends on your votes as his wife will only let him come down early if we vote YES to this question... MrDucky Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 That first vote, for NO, was cast by Mrs. Ducky! I doubt he would kiss me at midnight anyway. He'll either be bouncing around the place, so excited about tomorrow, he'll forget. Or he'll fall asleep, so we can get there earlier tomorrow. Either way, I lose! On second thought, maybe I should vote yes..... Yikes!!! I Hate that warning horn
Terry Beeson Posted December 31, 2006 Author Posted December 31, 2006 I'll even it up... TIGHT LINES, YA'LL "There he stands, draped in more equipment than a telephone lineman, trying to outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb, and getting licked in the process." - Paul O’Neil

Snow Fly Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 Mr.Ducky Remember the word diplomacy, give her a Kiss & I Love You at midnight to start out the New Year, which should carry over to mid year, unless you screw up big before then. Go to bed immediately after welcoming in the New Year, say a prayer about not having any water running when you arrive, set the alarm to get the family to Taney REAL early to fish until the party starts. Mrs Ducky and the kids can get some much needed sleep, in the car, while you fish with Leonard and his big fish whistle!! REMEMBER to leave all the other rods at home and get your fly fishing started on a positive note. Happy New Year!!!! "God gave fishermen expectancy, so they would never tire of throwing out a line"
Leonard Posted December 31, 2006 Posted December 31, 2006 I think I need to sign in under a few more names to get the poll in favor of fishing tonight!!... http://www.taneycomonights.com
drew03cmc Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I say go tonight! The night is young, and there are many trout to be had. Andy
LostMyWife Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Have your cake and eat it too. Kiss her at midnight and haul it on down to fish. Me, I'm sleepin. Yes, I'm That Guy
Greg Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 I voted yes - BUT I hope you don't freeze. I was down late afternoon until dark and I was half frozen by 5:00 PM. That wind was just cutting right through me. The fishing was pretty good though.
