Members Prestone Posted May 30, 2014 Members Posted May 30, 2014 Is the Finley River Park in Ozark a decent place to fish? I have been there a few times and didn't do much good. Are there certain times that are better to go, spots, etc? Also, what are the main fish species that you will catch there? I have seen some pretty good size bones on the shoreline in years past, but could not identify them.
Members Ratdz Posted June 2, 2014 Members Posted June 2, 2014 Personally, I don't catch that many fish around the park. I catch a few, but generally have better luck upstream. I've caught Bluegill, crappie, largemouth, smallmouth, goggle eye. I've heard even farther upstream, is some better fishing, but I haven't been up that far yet. I'd say earlier in the morning would be the better time to fish it, before all the boat traffic picks up too much. But don't expect to catch a ton of fish.
RSBreth Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 It's hard to fish from the bank - not much access. You do O.K. from a boat. Like was said - the stretch from Linden down to the park is better.
