Jason Essary Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 We caught a 5.08 Friday. Caught a 5.46 and a 4 1/2lb Saturday. All were spawned out females. Fished the last two weeks almost every other day. Haven't seen one sow with eggs and no nests. Been Baxter to Point 5 to Hideaway. Sounds like you have had some quality fish as well. Any on single spin? I use to catch some big ones at night on a black single spin with a pork frog trailer in blue or black. I believe the night bite will just get better in the weeks to come.
merc1997 Bo Posted June 2, 2014 Posted June 2, 2014 as we move from spawning to a feeding june pattern, there will be times that a single spin fished out on feeding flats will just really be the ticket. if you fish the dam area any, it is a great method to catch some whopper brownies. transition chunk rock banks is another place that single spins work sometimes for post spawn feedeers. many bass will be caught on a jig or soft plastic though. crankbaits at night can be very effective too. bo
