My daughter and I fished the Everett tourney yesterday also. We had a good day on the water...7 or 8 keepers all on the Keitech swim baits and shaky head. I know there are rude tourney fishermen out there but everyone we came across was very respectful of the water we were fishing. We had a little zone that we were catching fish out of, some guys even watched us land some keepers but did not try to crowd us at all. Ended up cashing 2 checks and went to Mazzio's for pizza on the way home!

Why I have not been to Beaver on a weekend since I started back fishing three years ago. Don't let them cut you off. Get really close.

Yeah, I could do that. But I just don't want the stress level that kind of thing would cause. Just not what I'm out there for.

I'm sure many of the folks in the tourney are nice folks and wouldn't cut another angler off. First time I've had trouble to this extent. I guess 150+ boats on the water will do that. I just wish all of them were respectful of other anglers.

We were over by Rocky Branch when we saw the herd coming. It was nuts. Never been cut off too bad, but after the laughing and excitement from us catching our second striper a guide in the area decided to "troll" on over to our area. At one point we had to stop and let him drag his planer boards on by. He left out of the same dock we did early in the morning and managed to power by us right before we got set up on the spot we wanted to troll. He picked one area, so we stayed to our little stretch. After a couple hours it was more than he could handle I guess...

this is why i like to keep a slingshot in the boat, they get a little too close, fire a warning shot
