I got here fiday and slept all day sat. :) but managed to fish a bit on sunday, fishing was good, fished about 4 hrs. hooked up 6 nice trout and managed land 4 of them, all on top and all on a #12 adams and 4X tippet. I love these trout they are not real leader shy. I'm in Rotorua today, we are camping in national forest campground untill next sat. starting tomorrow, one or two streams around looks like lake fishing will be more avaliable. Guys when you go by the shop take care and not give my help to much trouble as he can be a grumpy old man :) Anybody want any possum hair ? it is all over the hiways over here. they seem to just as smart as armidillos :) Happy NEW Year, we started it a little ahead of you over here, it is monday afternoon.

Isn't it incredible... you just don't realize how big this planet is unless you get out and just go.

Take lots of pics for us, Tim!!

Hey Tim; any truth to the rumor that everythings half off in your store while you are away? Just kidding! I'll take some possum hair if you'll go ahead and tie up your famous possum leeches while your at it. Have a blast man

Hey Steve,

I heard there was a sign in front of Tim's store that said, "The boss is away - Buy one and get 4 FREE!" Sort of like a fireworks stand! ;)

Yep, Tim... have a great time and provide us with plenty of photos to make us envious of you! :)

Wait a minute  You're in NZ fishing and I'm in Nixa watching M*A*S*H reruns... I'm ALREADY envious of you! :P

(Safe travels home, too...)

Terry; as it is, Tim only works 9 hours a week now, less lunch and coffee break time. So basically, the "boss" is always gone, even when he's there. We're also going to have to give Tim a lesson in computer skills. Did you notice he posted this NZ trip under Jack's Fork River forum? Good thing he can catch fish, because a computer whiz he ain't.

Steve, I almost caught you a big ole possum last night, we fished some real backcountry water yesterday, only caught one big fish, about 5 lbs but caught a couple that were about 3 and saw one that would go 7 or better, saw but he saw me first :) I'll send pics if I can, prices doubled when I left guys sorry, but maybe you can get Duane to dicker on the prices :)

I don’t want no stinking New Zealand possums Tim. I just want some of those possum leeches all tied up for Roaring River and some purple San Juan worm stock too. Free of course in recognition for all the years I’ve already been paying double at your shop. I can just see you getting dead possums through U.S. customs… Lord, you’ll be lucky if the agents let your hide across the border let alone a sack of dead possums. Oh yea, if you can figure out a way to email me your pictures, I’ll post them for you. Enjoy my friend and stay safe.
