Hazbin Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 Has anybody used any Spiderwire Hi-Vis Yellow or Spiderwire Glo-Vis Green at night under the black lights. We've found it is as fluorescent as Mono. I was fishing with 15# hi-vis yellow and my buddy had 40 # glo-vis and we both got hung-up simultaneously and couldn't dog either one loose and had a heck of a time breaking it, even with it figured eight around a pair of long nose pliers I was finally able to break it and I didn't feel a great difference in the pull strength. I just wonder if any of you have any experience using this line and how it holds up over time?.
inshore Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 can't say about spiderwire I use power pro. found you use for about a year then reverse it and use for another year. darn sight cheaper in the long run than mono or fluro.
J.M. Posted June 8, 2014 Posted June 8, 2014 I got some about a mouth ago and in two trips the yellow was gone and the weren't very long trips. It showed up real well under the black light until the color was gone I am disappointed to say the least. I was just vertical fishing for crappie under the lights

J.M. Posted June 10, 2014 Posted June 10, 2014 I went and looked at the spool again and it was flame green sorry for the wrong info.
Hazbin Posted June 10, 2014 Author Posted June 10, 2014 Yep, I had the same problem with it. Thanks for the input.
