mcp633 Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 I'd have to say "ditto" to the Montauk suggestion. If you're going that way, Montauk is down right gorgeous this time of the year. Upper Current is always a blast. I've fished both quite a bit, and can quite honestly say, I would drive the extra hour or so from Jefferson City to fish Montauk anytime over Meramec. If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them
drew03cmc Posted January 4, 2007 Posted January 4, 2007 That sounds like a deal Kyle. Montauk in the spring? Andy
mcp633 Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 You bet. I go on a three dayer in the spring and fall with a bunch of guys. Always a blast. When I figure out the dates, I will let you know. You're welcome to come for the whole weekend, or just for a day. If you don't stand behind our troops, please feel free to stand in front of them

Only 10min from the springs.Hope that helps Still pissed about the one that got away!!!

Randall Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 give some love to cuba. we have a super 8, holiday inn express, and a best western. its a short drive down 19, then 8 highway to the park, plus there's some good places to eat and the bars are pretty decent too. Cute animals taste better.
rainbow Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 You could also stay in Steelville. Not far from the park. Has motels and some good eating spots.
