This is a pic of a drift rig. You can tie a hook or lure to the end, loop where is shows and bell weight at the end. We use 4 lb line. A snap swivel is tied to your line and snapped onto the loop. Some use a 3-way swivel but in my experience it causes the line to twists up.

Keep in mind that the White River Drift Rig can be modified. Rarely on the White River is a swivel used due to the fact that it collects moss and other debris. Fish will also hit the shiney swivel. If drifting bait I'd tie it up this way.

Bell sink dropper as Phill described except mabey shorten it a little and as for the other end I'd go longer say up to 36 inches. Especially on 6 units or more.
