gramps50 Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 I was reading the Leader today and the is a classified listing for some lake lots at the following lakes. Goose Creek, Terre-du-lac, & Cedar Lake. I've been thinking it might be nice to have a lot in a lake complex so I'd have someplace to go fish during the week with the jon boat. Anyone know about the fishing at any of these lakes?
Members cart7 Posted July 3, 2014 Members Posted July 3, 2014 We were looking at some lots about 3 years ago at Goose creek. I've not heard a single good bass fishing report from Goose creek. Seems they had some weed issues in the lake which they resolved and the fishing hasn't been the same since. There are also issues with the community wanting some of the upper lake dredged due to siltation along with the road system there needing to be redone. Lot's of money that the lot owners wind up having to pay for.
Chris King Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 There are good fish in Goose Creek but it fishes pretty tough. I have not been down there this year, but last year we caught fish up to 6-7 pounds in the spring. Lots of little fish, but several healthy ones too. They have a Tuesday night tournament (see results of some of them on here). There is a slot limit. The dredging has begun I believe with an optional fee since it was voted down. Again, I haven't been there this year but I hear it got better in the boat ramp launch area. Cheap lot and close to home...nice to have somewhere to go that is close where you can run the boat (225 HP restricted).
