M_Taylor Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Went out of 12 bridge tonight after the rain. Trolled up a small striper and walleye and missed a few others on Flickr Shad. Went and did more exploring than fishing, lookin for topwater action but didn't find much more than little tiny guys. Killed too much time doing that. Dropped a spoon on a brush pile I saw on the graph and pulled up a nice Kentucky. Nothing else from there. Right before dark a few fish started coming up. Had a few hits on a spook, nothing on a popper. Landed one nice keeper size largemouth on the spook within eyesight of bridge. I was hoping for the hybrids I have been hearing about but either I was in wrong the spot, fishing wrong, or they just weren't up tonight. Water temp was 78 and clarity was probably around 6ft.
J-Doc Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Good report. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
fisherofmen11 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Were you using a Zara spook? If so what color?
Feathers and Fins Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 They were there this morning well that area. But didn't stay up more than a few seconds nothing like sunday when I was videoing them. The hybrids are there but down in 25 fow. Crappie are in the basin hanging out between 12 and 18 fow. The surface fish are mostly small stripers and whites in the 1 to 2 pound class. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
fisherofmen11 Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 How do you catch the hybrids that are in 25 feet of water?
Feathers and Fins Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Down Riggers. or you can try a jigging spoon. but for the flickers I use the downriggers. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
rps Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 How do you catch the hybrids that are in 25 feet of water? Vertical spoon jigging is my favorite.
