Feathers and Fins Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 Crappie Cakes I was inspired by RPS cakes he made the other night I and had to give this a try. First it requires you must go fishing as horrible as that is guys you really have to go fishing to get the chief ingredient. Dice crappie into ¼ cubes Dice 3 Banana Peppers Dice 1 Bell Pepper Dice 2 Anaheim Peppers Dice up a ¼ of an Onion Cook 1 cup of Rice Place all the above in large bowl Add ½ cup Verde Salsa Beat 1 Egg and add it and the Salsa Crush 1 bag of saltine crackers Mix all the ingredients together Next you will want to for a bowl with aluminum foil to do this I just form it around a small cereal bowl. Add the mix to the aluminum foil bowls and then sprinkle cornmeal on top and level with a wooden spoon. Preheat oven to 350 and cook for 30 minutes. At the end of the 30 minutes brush on a light coating of cocktail sauce and cook for 5 more minutes. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856

rps Posted June 28, 2014 Posted June 28, 2014 We have a house guest and she brought the fish as a gift. I loved this dish even though it was a first time for me. It would be fantastic with walleye or striper chunks.
