Yakfm and I went out hoping for some top-water action which became quickly apparent would have to wait till later to emerge as boat traffic in Mont ne was extreme so we went to one of my favorite walleye spots to look for them. It was not disappointing we pulled 2 keeper eyes off the spot and 2 shorts with 15 catfish one real nice one and a nice 15'' class spot all within a 200ft area.

Due to boat traffic we were forced to move so we flew back in to Monte ne hoping by now the boat traffic would have died down but alas it hadn't but Yak did put a white in the boat and a couple bass there was a little topwater that tried to get going but boat traffic shut it back down pretty fast.

All in all a real good short trip in our opinions and both of us took home some good eating fish for today.

Given the cigarette boat that cut between us and the point, the dozens of pleasure craft that came within jigging spoon casting distance, the wake that washed over the back of the boat, and the high wire act that you executed in the front of the boat as a nice set of rollers nearly sent you lake bound, its a wonder we were able to do as well as we did. Despite the boat craziness it was a great time on the water and we came home with some nice table fare.
