Did you go above Cedar Camp or below? I couldn't imagine the upper section having any water to float. Bet you had the river almost to yourself though.

Thx for the pics, love the boat

I went above Green's Ford the day I arrived. It had plenty of water and a long deep hole with plenty of action.....Sat. rumrunner and I floated from camp to Bannister Ford. A lot of kayak dragging yet deep holes and prey good fishing..We both had a good time...

Sunday I decided to go see water I hadn't seen before, above Griswald Ford. Same conditions only stopped by a lot of down timber, didn't feel like unloading to portage further.. I saw the Springs they're bubbling up pretty awesome....

There is a lot of river I have never seen from Mule shoe down to Griswald 11 miles worth....

Then Monday morning before I left I put in there at camp and paddled upstream and discovered the stream had been redirected...It changed by cutting a new path into Macks Creek which was beautiful.. a series of deep holes and ripples under deep shade for quite a ways up till I reached the main channel...

Another part of the river I haven't seen is the stretch from Bannister to Fiery Fork....

Sure, I have put in at all these Fords and fished up and down stream of each of them for short distances... in a mellow afternoon of fishing...

I have paddled up from J bridge to the private low-water bridge several times in the past, that is some memorable times.....

I always love the solitude of the place, and the steep hills and bluffs, almost mountanious for that little stretch of the Ozarks!
