Jdecoudres Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Looking to come down this next week and have only fished this place 1 time. Can anyone tell me what the hopper bite is on the Norfolk as i would really like to get some dry fly action? I do have a drift boat and plan on camping and being in the area for 4 days or so. I wont be that far from the white if it is my better option i just enjoyed this river early spring when i fished it for a few hrs.
Ozark Sweetwater Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 If you want to throw hoppers, the White is a much better option. On the Norfork you're going to have better luck with midges. http://ozarksweetwater.com
sfiser Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 White is a better hopper river for sure. You can catch them on Norfork too though. Use a little smaller hoppers and dries at norfork than you would the white. The norfork has a good population of cutthroats that love rising to dries, which that right there alone makes it worth fishing. Use a dry dropper with a midge hanging off the back and you will catch em
