eyeman Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 how do i chg my pic size to jpeg? i have a mac and when i try to select a pic and drag it to the post it is img size.
Feathers and Fins Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I am not a mac guy... But if you send me the picture in a PM I might be able to convert it for you.... a picture should have a name like JOESFISH dot JPG JOESFISH.JPG Changing the size can be done with a picture editor, you go to the editor and change the picture size to ( for instance) 640 x 480 pxls... I use either photobucket, facebook to simply upload them here https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
eyeman Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 i thought it would be simple to drag and drop it from my iphoto library but i was wrong . may just wait till my son comes over and have him show me how to do it since i am so computer illiterate. thx
kjackson Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I'm not sure, but you may have an image that is too large. That will stop any transfer. The way I post is to do a "save as" and then select size from that. And I place it on my desktop. Then it's simple: do your post and look for "More reply options" on the lower right. Then it asks you Choose File, which you should do. Then below that, Attach This File. Hit that button as well. FINALLY-- there is an "Add to Post" selection on the far right, parallel to the image you've chosen. Click on that, and you'll see an image tag in your post. That should be all you need to do. I do have problems, though, with the image posting inverted...don't know what's up with that, but it does happen to me. And, of course, you have to click on Add Reply or Add Post (not sure of the exact usage in an original message) at the bottom.
kjackson Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Having said that, I didn't add the image...I picked it to make sure I had all the buttons in their right place.
rps Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Picasa is a free app from Google. I use it to administer, edit, and post phone and camera pictures. Open your phone or camera picture in it. Crop, adjust contrast, adjust color, and adjust brightness. Then "export" it to a home folder you set up and use 800 X 600 as the size. That will load on nearly every board.
eyeman Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 thanks for the help guys . i will work on it.
kjackson Posted August 15, 2014 Posted August 15, 2014 Since you're using a Mac, it won't be that difficult. It isn't quite as straightforward as one might like, but if I can do it without screaming for help, it is simple enough.
eyeman Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 needs resizing again, yes that is a 50 qt chest!!!
