WettinLine Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Let me start out, there should be no issue catching bait, my first toss profited four pounds of 5 inch shad- I tossed half of them back. Tossed off six scouting and six anchored in 15 foot of water, and could keep the gar off, but once I got into the cats it was on! I seemed to be eating time around 8- 11 it shutoff went to hit another spot and had to tow another about four miles so called it quits 15 ft anchored 25 ft main Bait - cut shad Oh and it anyone from republic is missing a Walmart yellow noddle I have it, that is all I can read, buy a f-in Sharpe

Anything besides channels?
WettinLine Posted August 24, 2014 Author Posted August 24, 2014 James River I've tossed at small coves and nothing. I stay with my rovers and it tells the tale. Right when the first one hits i toss a marker, it seems to pay off. Where are you tossing?
Jeremy Rasnick Posted August 24, 2014 Posted August 24, 2014 Mostly truman. I'm wanting to stay close to home this week and try the James or cricket creek. Lots of small channels are being caught near cricket. You catching any flat heads in the James ?
WettinLine Posted August 25, 2014 Author Posted August 25, 2014 Its a good mix, most of my good flats are caught early in the summer.
