fishbait3 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 i like the Pfluegers u can either get a trigger or spin reel both r nice.
gramps50 Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If you're dedicated to the spincast, the only ones I've even seen besides the zebco are some made by daiwa. I had the Daiwa spincast , after a short period of time it wore a groove in the top hat the pin. This was using good mono. I agree get her a spinning reel, I use only Pfluger Presidents & Purist but started by using their Trion line.
zarraspook Posted September 1, 2014 Posted September 1, 2014 If you want something cheap and anybody can learn in 3 minutes, plus I have two that are over 15 years old ( and still working )... Look at the Shimano IX series of reels... ( $15) I have 7 of the Spirex series that I and the wife use and the IX's are use by the granddaughters and any body else "learning" to fish........ This is a link to bass pro and the reel with reviews... http://www.basspro.com/Shimano-IX-Spinning-Reels/product/1208290532158/?cmCat=CROSSSELL_THUMBNAIL "Look up OPTIMIST in the dictionary - there is a picture of a fishing boat being launched"

My wife said "it feels funny" the first couple of cast and with in 15 minutes was hitting her target, within three feet....
