Members Paper mouth hunter Posted September 1, 2014 Members Posted September 1, 2014 Visit my folks yearly in the spring and fall, but struggle a little fishing in the fall. Located near baxter, any suggestions for fall crappie, and best time of fall?
Members Crappie Fisherman Posted September 2, 2014 Members Posted September 2, 2014 Starting now through December the brushpiles in the Indian Creeks and from Baxter up to Big Bay will hold crappie. Many have signs on the shoreline but if you have a GPS you can find the rest of them: http://egis.mdc.mo.gov/fishattractorstablerocklake/. Should be excellent up there this fall, two to three years after the 2008 flood, the crappie fishing was fantastic over there. The flood in 2011 produced quite a few new papermouths as well and they'll be legal this year. I can't wait to get over there and try it.
eyedabassman Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 When Crappie fishing are you fishing jigs ( like a float & Fly ) or live bait? I have never fished Crappie on the Rock so any help would be great!
