Delaware Town Access

Does anyone know if this access has any good fishing? Any tips?

I tried this area for the first time today. No luck at all. I had to fight the current the entire time - even with an anchor!

I hear it is good if you go up river some and also done to like hooten town

I have wade fished this access in the past in the summers. I've never done super well, but I have pulled a few smaller bass and goggle eye out. I see people cat fishing there all the time, but that's not my thing. I've heard that down from the access is a decent hole, but I've never put in there. I concur that fishing is better down from the Shelvin Access and Hooten Town.

If you paddle up several riffles you will hit some good water. I've done well paddling up or floating down to shelvin.

I have bank fished Delaware Town quite a bit. Up to the right (more shallow spot) I have caught some decent sized goggle eye. But to the left in the deeper spot, I have caught some nice catfish. Usually anywhere from 4-10 pounds.
