I spent the weekend at Bennett Springs State Park with my father in law and other family members. Water was slow and pretty clear. We fly fished the entire weekend mainly focusing just below the water fall just down from the main spring and an area just up stream from Whistle Bridge. I have to say the fishing was AMAZING! I nymph fished pretty much the entire weekend with my Ross 4wt Reel and Winston 4wt 10' rod while my Father In Law used Olive Wooleys and some crackle backs with a ton of success and fished some midges as well. .

I was fishing Ruby Midges #18 about 12-20" under an indicator and caught a bunch. Copper Midges worked too as well as Zebra Midges. I switched to a John Deere on Monday and wow!!!! The bites never stopped. Of course it helped they had released 2500 trout and hardly anyone was out due to the rain... :) It was a fun weekend for sure...

Check out this video here I made.. hope you enjoy!
