Feathers and Fins Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 September 12th 2014 Bass; Good topwater action prior to this front on main lake hump and point tips in the 15 to 20ft depth, Zara-Puppy, Pop-r and Spybaits working well. The fish have been hitting the surface from sunrise until about 10am. Drop-shotting on these same areas is very productive. Stripers, White Bass and Hybrids: HOT BITE Rocky Branch! Schools of stripers from the back ramp out to the island and the East shore of Larue. Live bait is working as is the “New Flicker Minnows” Flicker shad and Rapala SR7’s and 9’s. Crappie; Look for crappie over flats using spider rigs and trolling Road Runners and Flicker Shad in 12 to 17ft. Walleye; Crawler Harness and Flicker Minnow in 20 to 30ft over flats and main lake points, Coppermine to Rocky Branch are the best area’s. These reports were all pre-front reports, but ALL accounts are saying there is a lot of fish to be had and are biting in the area from Coppermine to Rocky Branch with Rocky Branch being best. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
bferg Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 My 7 yr old and I will be dragging some flicker shads around RB in the morning. Hope to get her on her first striper!
nathanhooper Posted September 13, 2014 Posted September 13, 2014 I'm camping at LBS this weekend. Seeing a few boats here in the mouth of the cove. You can see the heat coming off the water this morning when looking through binos.
