Holiday Island 9/12-13

Fished last night and about 8 total hours today. Chilly way to start the day, but between 6 and 7am I caught about 9 - two keepers. All on topwater - Yellow Magic Pop-R. Continued to get them on top water throughout the day - in addition to the Pop-R, I was throwing a Gunfish. Tried the Ned rig, couldn't connect today.

As soon as the sun came out, there wasn't a place that I couldn't see massive amounts of shad... this lake is FULL of shad. Is it always like this?

There are a lot of shad in the White channel above the Kings. It's as many as I have ever seen, but the old timers may have seen more at some point in the past. Should not be seeing too many skinny bass.
