Members Ken Drish Posted September 14, 2014 Members Posted September 14, 2014 Fished last night and about 8 total hours today. Chilly way to start the day, but between 6 and 7am I caught about 9 - two keepers. All on topwater - Yellow Magic Pop-R. Continued to get them on top water throughout the day - in addition to the Pop-R, I was throwing a Gunfish. Tried the Ned rig, couldn't connect today. As soon as the sun came out, there wasn't a place that I couldn't see massive amounts of shad... this lake is FULL of shad. Is it always like this? Heading out in the morning.... cheers!
Quillback Posted September 14, 2014 Posted September 14, 2014 There are a lot of shad in the White channel above the Kings. It's as many as I have ever seen, but the old timers may have seen more at some point in the past. Should not be seeing too many skinny bass.
