Members LarryC Posted September 17, 2014 Members Posted September 17, 2014 I thought I saw two eagles soaring near Eden Bluff Saturday but wasn’t 100% sure. Tonight I heard a hissing and looked up to see the pair roosting in a tree over my head. They were on the main channel a little ways from Pine Creek. I got pictures with my iphone but they are fuzzy. The deer was swimming across the entrance to Pine Creek. The water was calm and he looked like he knew where he was going so I didn't bother him. About 20 years ago I came across three trying to make the islands at PC. They looked like they were headed to the dam so I did a little herding to get them on the island. Now down to business. A dozen crappie just barely legal came on Flicker Shads 16' deep, mostly close to trees at point 12. A few were out on the flat. I was out about two hours this evening. Water temperature had dropped 3 degrees since Saturday...it was 77 degrees. Making Beaver Lake safe for all the little fish...one striper at a time.
J-Doc Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 Cool report. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
ness Posted September 17, 2014 Posted September 17, 2014 You sound a little bit like me when I fish -- I look around a lot. I've probably missed a million fish, but I don't care. I've got the itch for crappie. John
nathanhooper Posted September 18, 2014 Posted September 18, 2014 that's a nice haul. them flickers sure know how to bring the fish in.
