Put in at Highpoint around 2:30pm today with my dad and fished until 6:15. The trip today started off fast with 25 fish in first half hour, then it was slow for about an hour and a half, picked up a couple here and there, and a couple LM bass and one drum on a crank bait that was about 20" long. then went back to where we started this morning close by to the highpoint ramp and caught one on the first cast then worked the bank about 100 yards and we ran into huge schools, these fish were surfacing for about an hour and a half and still doing it when we decided to leave, pulled lots of shorts out of there but also pulled out several in 12-13" range. only decided to keep 10 fish but the ones we kept were all over 14". one was just shy of 16". Total fish caught today was 85. It was a great trip!!

Thanks! it was a great trip! and surprisingly the water wasn't stained at all, just close to the banks where there was mud and where i got too close with the trolling motor and stirred up the bottom! :XD:

You need to change your name from CrappieMaster to WhiteMaster!! Thanks for the report. Sounds like you had a great time with your Dad and that is always special. My Grandpa and Dad used to take me out fishing for white bass a lot when i was young. We loved it. And pound for pound that is one fighting fish! I dont fish for them much anymore, although i will catch some when i am targeting their cousin, Mr. Hybrid. I have been wanting to get down to Stockton for one more trip before I start getting in my deer stand. But the Royals run in the playoffs has me waiting til they are done. Good to hear you release some fish also CrappieMaster. You are a good man!!

Lol i just put CrappieMaster because crappie fishing is what i focus on the most. And yes, I agree that white bass are one of the hardest fighting fish out there! Hopefully you can get out there the whites are going crazy and GO ROYALS!

Between the island and loop C camp area. Don't know if they're there anymore. I came thru Saturday night at dark and no boats were there. Changing water temps might change the pattern.
