Members Beaverdamstore Posted October 30, 2014 Members Posted October 30, 2014 The browns are spawning. Below the reds I have had very good luck catching the bows. Nothing monster but enough to keep me interested. Everything from small simple egg patterns, to most midge patterns. Please don't wade in the middle of the spawning fish. Stay out of the riffles. If you fish over the spawning fish the likeleyhood of foul hooking them goes up tremendously. Good luck and stop by the store with a fish story. Jim
Amery Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 I'm planning on night fishing beaver Saturday night, what areas should I avoid wading? Bottom of parkers hole for sure.
Members Beaverdamstore Posted October 31, 2014 Author Members Posted October 31, 2014 Amery, most of the areas where the water is concentrated, shallow and running fast enough to hear are holding the spawning fish. If you get in a boat or kayak to the deeper water you will be surprised how many LARGE fish live in the Beaver Tailwaters. Your night trip should be fun. I fished from 430am to daylight last Monday. Really nice on the river just no monster fish. Jim
Amery Posted October 31, 2014 Posted October 31, 2014 We are pumped. Might have to do some cardio to keep from freezing.
Members HunterTheAviator Posted November 5, 2014 Members Posted November 5, 2014 That would explain why I hooked up on a brown with a purple/white crank during generation... I was desperate and so was he.
