Hello everyone!

Hope to find you all getting ready for your 2007 fishing trips; whether they're on day excursions or multi-day expeditions. I know I am with my wonderful group: the Trout Gang.

We hail from St. Louis but consider Branson as our "real" home. We have been fishing as a group for some 15 years and have grown from 4 to 10 members since. The age group ranges from the late 20's to early 70's and I wouldn't have it any other way. The diversity allows for learning, sharing and caring of one another and for the sport we love...fishing!

While some of us love bass fishing, catfishing, crappie/panfishing, the fishing at Taneycomo allows all of us to enjoy fishing at our own pace at the same lake. Some members prefer to fish off the docks, others from a boat and still others by wading. No other fishing lake offers that variety.

And we are very fortunate to have such a wonderful resort of Lilley's Landing that offers the best in lodging, marine services and care for its customers.

The trout Gang will return twice, as usual,in 2007; March for our "Spring Classic" and October for our "Fall Classic". A great time for some great friends to get away from it all for a few days.

It's no wonder that this has become our "Great Discovery"!

Great Fishing to You!

Welcome to the site Chief. Be sure you check out the site before you head for the Spring Classic. You can find out most of what you need.

BTW, where in St Louis do you hail from. We are from Edwardsville on the East Side.

Welcome to this great forum. I am sure you will find tons of information about the fine sport of fishing and also information on Lake Taneycomo.

Welcome to the forum. It is a great gouup with lots of knowledge to share.

I am also from the St Louis area (ofallon mo) and spend 3 to 4 weeks in Branson a year in my timeshare near fall creek marina. When I am out of time I visit some of the great resorts on the Lake such as Lilly's. Our family has one big get to gather each year. We have been going down for years and still enjoy it even with the overbuilding going on. When we get back to the cabin or at the dock its like "river runs through it" comparing fish, fly rods and fly's that we used. Great clean wholesome fun and you hardly meet a stranger on the lake or at the dock.

I know it is a temptation to go to bass pro now but visit the local guys to buy supplies. They have good information to share, quality equipment and most times more reasonable prices.
