Whodat Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Got down about 7:30 this morning and water was up pretty good but still able to make it to the cable. Started with roostertails and only caught 5 or 6 fish. When the water stopped, all hell broke lose on the rapala's. My son and I caught at least 20 bows over 15 inches with 7 or 8 18 or so. All seem to be males with milt comming out of them. In all we left about 2:30 I caught 68 fish with the son catching 30 or so. The 3 guy's that came from chute 1 up our way was catching fish almost every cast. It was still a good time fishin from bank.
MrDucky Posted January 11, 2007 Posted January 11, 2007 Sounds like a good time , im almost tempted to come down there tonight with the rapalas Yikes!!! I Hate that warning horn

Terry Beeson Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 I asked Cindy and she said "Nope... you've got laundry to do." I told her I was NOT going to do any laundry and she should just get over it... So, I've got some time here after getting the first load going in the washer, so I thought I'd post this... Whodat Posted January 12, 2007 Author Posted January 12, 2007 Looks like the weather is taking a turn for the worst! News this morning be prepared for extended power outages around Springfield area and up to 2 inches of ice! Last time I was cutting 3 elm trees that broke and is still in the yard.
Mikey Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 As a winter weather nut I am envious!! Here in the river valley (fort smith, ar) we really doin't get much. the northern state gets all the pretty and we get 3 hours of slush resulting in a weeks worth of sand being dumped on the roadways. seriously i hope it doesn't get bad enough to kill power. Just pretty enough to flyfish with snow covered trees! Mikey Each time I buy a new fly............ My wife gives me the same look........ I give her when she buys another purse... ..............................
