waterpossum Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 I enjoyed the night fishing tournaments held out of State Park this summer and was wondering if there are any winter day tournaments held on Stockton.(preferablely buddy type) I don't have any real current reports other than about a week ago a friend and I crappie fished and slogged around for most of the day around Mutton and Ruark with no success until about 5:00 (before the time change) and caught about 20 with 8 keepers in the last hours in 20' in Mutton cove. Nearly all the better fish were hitting the jig on the fall and swing back to the boat. The smaller ones were strictly vertical near the bottom. I have been getting second hand reports of guys that are limiting out in the last few days.
Members ChipperT Posted November 6, 2014 Members Posted November 6, 2014 Check out the Polar bear tournament. It alternates Stockton and pomme. Randy Conlon runs it. I believe it's $85 entry and runs from 7-3 on most sundays. It's a great tournament and very well ran. Look on the Missouri highway patrol website under regattas and you can see every registered tournament trail in MO.
smbasser Posted November 6, 2014 Posted November 6, 2014 +1 on the Polar Bear Tournament. I fished the one on Stockton last sunday (32 boats) and was very well ran with some very good fishermen. Randy always does a great job
