I have been looking at the screen shots at the top of the page and want to upgrade the helm unit to color with gps I am looking for suggestions for a new unit. Willing to spend between $500-$1000. Suggestions on a unit would be helpful. Thanks
Smalls21 Posted February 2, 2015 Posted February 2, 2015 i really dont think you can go wrong with a Lowrance or Humminbird. you should be able to get a nice 8"-10" screen for that price. I saw that BPS has free install with purchase for the spring classic

Kayser Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Just bought a Humminbird 398ci, hope to get to use it soon. It doesn't have the large screen though, hope I don't regret that. But for $250 for a side imaging with GPS, it was hard to pass up. WARNING!! Comments to be interpreted at own risk. Time spent fishing is never wasted.
Dutch Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Check out BOE Marine. They have some really good units in your price range and most of them will be shipped free. Check the Low. HDS Gen 2 Touch 7 for example. I've bought quite a bit of stuff from them. No one else has been able to even match them when I have been shopping.
