Just read another report that it may die in committee, but I am keeping my eye on this one.

Fingers crossed on that one. I'm hoping Ben Harris gets back in touch with me in the coming days to elaborate a bit more on what went or is going down.

I have also saturated social media sites with the information on all these bills.

You all may want to do the same.

My State Rep.called earlier today after I had left a message with our concerns on this bill. She had read it and said she really didn't understand some of the language in the bill but she would definitely oppose it if it made it to the floor for a vote.We need some of the folks represented by Rep.Ross to contact him with their opposition to this bill.

I emailed by representative Elaine Gannon (R, Desot) and she never replied. I contacted my senator Gary Romine (R, Farmington) an he did reply - thanking me for my input, how he listens to constituents concerns, and how he will look into the bill should it get out of the House. I replied to him and asked him point blank if he would oppose such a bill. He replied that he didn't think the bill would clear the House since it was introduced so late in session, he would have to read over the bill should it pass the House to make sure there were no attachments to the bill, and how he appreciated the concern of all his constituents - once again never answered my question but gave pure political jargon to dodging the straight answer.

Romine is my senator too, and he is one of the few that always responds to emails. Usually it amounts to political spin, but at least he responds. I believe it actually is him, too, and not someone on his staff. Last time I contacted him, I also mentioned my concerns over Ross's bill, that I realized it wasn't in his neighborhood, but that if he would walk over to the house and slap the snot out of Ross, I would vote for him (Romine) for that alone.

My two "representatives" have never responded to numerous emails.

My district rep Ben Harris has been really prompt in returning my calls and trying to answer my questions. I swear i have to take notes and quickly though since he talks so fast. I'm supposed to hear more from him next week on the progress or lack of it on the bill and ill do my best to fill everyone in.
