bferg Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Getting out Sunday afternoon... Hoping for some whites and/or eyes...How far upriver would you go? Thinking of putting in at either sidewalk hole or blue springs... Or is it a little early for that? Maybe Monte Ne? Any thoughts?
Feathers and Fins Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 Heavy Mud Hickory South, water temp COLD more rain for tomorrow and Friday will only add to the mud and debris. North of Hickory Creek warm and clear. Walleye have been 30 to 40ft of water no clue where the whites are. If today was any indication of how crowded it will be out there I will stay home. 20+ Boat trailers at Monte Ne alone. Stripers are in the area but heavy traffic scattered them bad. That said try bottom bouncers and brooder minnows from HSB to the Mudline and be watchful for debris if running on plane. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
bferg Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 Thanks Fins- what kind of water temps were you seeing in Monte Ne? Sounds like mud is gonna be a problem.... jerry241 1

JohnF52 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Water has cleared nicely in the White above Lake Sequoyah. Still good strong flow.
JohnF52 Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Should get better each day unless we have significant rain. The main cause of turbidity is rain in the West Fork drainage area. I wish we could get more bank stabilization done on the lower half of that stream. It is clear in the upper reaches.
Guest Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Yep & the west fork is still muddy today. Maybe the flow will subside & the water begin to clear.
bferg Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 What about the War Eagle arm? Is it as muddy?
