Members Kaspur Posted March 22, 2015 Members Posted March 22, 2015 My buddy caught several largemouth and few whites between Aldrich and Orleans bridge on Friday. He went again yesterday to the same area and almost caught his limit on whites.
Members Basscatcher1 Posted March 22, 2015 Author Members Posted March 22, 2015 What was he catching the large mouth bass on? And what water temp and was he fishing main lake points or pockets?
Members Kaspur Posted March 22, 2015 Members Posted March 22, 2015 Pretty much caught everything on a White Grub with 1/8 oz jig head, fishing main points. I'm not sure about the water temp. I wanna say it was close to mid 40's.
slab slinger Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 I dont bass fish much anymore but used to be ate up with it. Got 2 kids and wife that love to eat fish so mainly target crappie walleye and whites. Ok so cedar ridge down to aldrich was always good for me. If you like to flip pitch turkey creek will keep you busy all day. All of sons was productive for me and chicken rock to greenfield ramp good also. Flip/Pitch birch branch. Summer target deep brush with jig/trialer and 10" worms tex rig. MDC has numerous marked piles if you dont have any out yourself. Just pick an area and commit yourself to knowing it and follow patterns that are working to another area you'll do fine. Thats about all i know but not a bass guro anymore. Hope this helps ya. slab slinger Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Saw several bassers yesterday slingin JB and CB on secondary points in adout every cove in sons googer and everywhere in between looked like a solid pattern for as many to be doing the same thing.
Sac River Jim Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 little over ten pounds won the ma and pa tourney. two of my friends and wives fished in googer and griesser and all they caught were dinks. its still just a little too cool for the big girls to move up in the creeks but it wont be long. we did manage a 4.95 kick a couple of weeks ago in the creek on a jerker but its the only solid keeper in the flat pockets since then.
Members edwards6717 Posted March 29, 2015 Members Posted March 29, 2015 I fished for about 4 hours yesterday and did pretty well on a crankbait. Had 4 keepers, best of which was around 4 lbs. All in less than 12 feet of water. Had several shorts as well. 49 was the best temp I found yesterday. Sac River Jim and Aggressor1988long 2
